Thanks to the integration of photovoltaics on the roof and the solar thermal on the facade of the building, the building Kraftwerk B has a positive energy balance with which can feed some houses nearby. The photovoltaic modules integrated into the roof perform a dual function; in addition to producing energy, they replace the conventional material of the roof covering. Without them the building would be incomplete from the point of view of construction and performance.
