Thermal aspects

For some integration systems it is important to know the thermal properties of the photovoltaic material/element. They are decisive when the modules have further additional functions such as thermal insulation or solar control.

For example, a window of plain glass, conducts heat relatively well. Its low thermal resistance is visible from the condensation of water vapour on its surface. It is therefore imperative to lower the thermal transmission coefficient by planning intermediate spaces between glasses. Some companies supply photovoltaic modules inserted in a multi-glass system.
