This building has been awarded by the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB) as the first energy-efficient supermarket in the world since it has been conceived to consume 50% less energy than a standard building. Thanks to the combination of different service devices with a good insulation of the building envelope. PV modules are installed on the roof and glazed modules are installed on the canopy.
